THANK YOU to Bone and his Gore staff for supplying us with some of the best early season training! Twister and Showcase have been prepared perfectly for some exceptional early SL and GS training. Gore athletes and staff have weathered the cold weather fairly well.  This past weekend our U16-19’s participated in the 1st scored dual SL, and all accounts are that it was quite fun.  At the same time our U12-14’s were ripping down Draper’s Drop in the Hovey Memorial GS at Whiteface Mountain.
This week the NYSEF-Gore race crew and staff are hard at work getting the trail, Echo ready for the Women’s FIS SG/GS races. Additionally, we are hosting 65 athletes from the Tufts University alpine ski team for a week of training.
In other great news, we are getting NEW RACE BIBS! We are anxiously awaiting their arrival – big THANKS to our sponsors, The Sports Page and Gore Mountain Lodge / becks TAVERN.

Finally, the next few weeks will be busy at Gore starting on Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend with the Shenendehowa High School GS race on Echo, and USASA skier/boarder cross at the North Creek Ski Bowl. Next week, we’re into the 4-day FIS series (mentioned above) then right into NYSSRA Super G events for the following two weekends. The action never stops!
A US Ski & Snowboard course setting clinic and a Level 200 Coaches Clinic will in the mix too.  ALL in ALL, an exciting and busy next few weeks at NYSEF Gore.
