February Updates from Belleayre
ALPINE UPDATE:
NYSEF at Belleayre had a great Presidents’ Weekend training as a team at home on the hill, Dot Nebel. Program Director, Jim Catalano, and our awesome grooming team built some sweet terrain for the Rip Van Winkle Council U12 Flight Camp that we hosted this past weekend. As U16/U19 athletes compete at their respective state championships this weekend, the U14s are gearing up for their States at Whiteface in early March.
The U10 and U12 athletes are ready for Kandahar in March where they will compete with other NYSEF athletes from Gore and Whiteface.
FREERIDE UPDATE and RESULTS:
February has been an exciting month for Freeride. On February 2, NYSEF snowboarders attended a Slalom and Giant Slalom at Plattekill mountain. Attending these events for the first time were athletes Sienna Fahey and Reisa Reynolds.
