From Program Director, Rich Burnley: Our season at Gore started off very strong, with natural snow and great snow making temps then mother nature got grumpy. Even with the lack of snow, we were able to get our Holiday SL race in and had a field of over 150 athletes. Over the last month, our athletes got some great training space on Wild Air, where the Nor-Am X event will be taking place in February.  Even with the warm weather, we were joined each weekend with a contingent of racers from PA and NJ, coming north to train.  Former Gore Program Director, Bone gave us a nice Holiday present: SNOW! Bone and his staff made snow on Lower Echo which we were able to use exclusively for training during the 2 week Holiday break.  THANK YOU, BONE AND GORE STAFF! Currently, most snow making resources and equipment are on Echo to get it ready for races in the upcoming weeks.  Last but not least, snow guns are blasting away at the Ski Bowl on our X course getting ready for our MLK event.
