Meet Head U12 Coach at Belleayre, Doug (Frog) Aaronson! In 1957, Frog started skiing in Rougemont, Switzerland and did his first GS race at age 4 ½…from then on… he was hooked on skiing fast! He moved to London and joined the Kandahar Ski Club (training mainly in Murren, Switzerland). In London, he represented his university at the British University Championships and in his postgraduate (studying in Paris) represented his university at the French University Championships in skiing. In 1992, he became an instructor at Belleayre and has been coaching for 14 years. When asked about his passion for skiing, Frog said, “skiing is my winter passion and I have been lucky to have skied at 72 resorts and on three different continents.” When asked about working with NYSEF, he said, “I feel strong support from a serious organization like NYSEF and their dedication to ski racing.” In the off-season, Frog loves bodyboarding and spending hours in the ocean.
