NYSEF-Gore has had a busy January. They have hosted the Shenendehowa High School GS race, Womens FIS series and lastly a U16-19 SG series. Our U16-19’s were also on the road in the Catskills: racing at Belleayre and Windham. Our U14’s hit the road to the western Adirondacks for a Dual SL (the first in the east) at Snow Ridge and a SL at McCauley in Old Forge.

At Snow Ridge Zach Paton grabbed a 3rd place finish and Micaela Leonard landed in 5th place. The next day at McCauley, Zach’s cousin, Cole Paton took 2nd place and Micaela stayed steady with a 5th place finish. KUDOS to first year U14 racer, Cole Evans who placed 4th each day at McCauley!

At Windham and Belleayre, the U16-19’s had some respectable results. Claire Felton led the Women with a 13th place at Windham and 11th at Belleayre followed by Amanda Quiles who placed 15th at Windham but was beat by her older sister, Shannon Quiles in Belleayre.

Our Freeride program was on the road at Mt. Snow and Whiteface. Morgan Shute, Liam Rabbitt, and Ben Saltsman were 1st in class at the Whiteface Boardercross At Mt. Snow, Alex Saltsman was 3rd in class.
Next up at Gore is the U14 Excelsior East SG camp and race weekend. Looks to be getting colder with snow in the forecast so keep your fingers crossed for some great skiing coming up.
