XC High School Championship Highlights

NYSPHSAA Skiing State Championships

NYSEF athletes Henry McGrew (LPHS), Scott Schulz (LPHS) and Gabby Armstrong (LPHS) each earned individual titles at the NYSPHSAA Skiing State Championships held at Gore Mountain Nordic Center in North Creek, NY. Henry and Gabby placed 1st in the classic individual race and Scott and Gabby were named overall state champions with combined results from the individual and relay races. Lake Placid High School Boys Team with Henry McGrew, Scott Schulz, James Flanigan, Jesse Izzo and Kai Frantz skied fast to take the Boys Team title!

NYSEF athletes who competed at the state meet include: Anya Morgan (LPHS), Marli Damp (LPHS), Bea Hollander (LPHS), Lauchie Cheney-Seymour (SLHS), Ethan Wood (SLHS), Jacob Alberga (SLHS) and Sylvie Linck (SLHS).

NENSA Eastern High School Championships

This event includes boys and girls from VT, NH, ME, MA and NY to compete in a 5 km individual freestyle race, a 7.5 km classic mass start race, a freestyle sprint race and a mixed relay all jammed in to 3 days – makes for a tough weekend of racing!
