NYSEF had a great New Year’s Master’s Ski Jump with athletes of all ages competing on the K48 and K90.

The K90 event is a “long standing” event where athletes can choose their start position and try to go as far as they safely can. NYSEF athletes, Tate Frantz took the win ahead of Matt White in second place.

Northwood/NYSEF athlete,  Elise Loescher beat the men on the K48 as the lone female competitor.

Also in December, NYSEF Alums, Nina Lussi and Tara Geraghty-Moats competed in Olympic Trials in Park City, Utah on December 31st. Nina had some great jumps, but unfortunately crashed and suffered an ACL tear. We hope for a quick and seamless recovery.  Read more information on the event and Nina’s tumble, can be found here.

Moving forward, we are opening our USA Nordic Junior Cup Series events this weekend, January 13-14 in Gunstock and Andover, N.H. We have had some great training on our K20/48 and are ready to show the East what we’re made of!
