The Elite Ski Jumping/Nordic Combined team opened up their season in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The hills were in great shape despite the little snow that has fallen! We are thankful for the efforts from coaches and staff members at Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club to get the hill in prime condition. There were 4 days of training before competitions began.

NYSEF Athletes, Bryce Kloc (Clifton Park, N.Y.)  Tate Frantz (Lake Placid, N, Y.) competed in their first USA Nordic US Cup competition on the HS100. They skied against our countries strongest jumpers. Local athlete and NYSEF alum, Beckett Ledger (Lake Placid, N.Y.) put himself in a position to likely start in the first FIS Nordic Combined Continental Cups of the season by placing 8th! Great job, Becket!

In the U18 competitions, Frantz placed 2nd in the HS75 in Jumping and 1st in the Nordic Combined.
