Dear friends and family:

A letter from the Reynolds Family:

In the words of our dear friend Bill “Wittso” Witte, we hope that you are doing, “better than ever!”

Wittso’s love of snowsports started as a ski instructor at Bromley Mountain in Vermont. He moved to Snow Ridge in New York where he opened his own “Swiss Ski Shop” and a motel. Later he moved back to Vermont to become an independent sales representative for several snowsport companies. After skiing and working all over the world, Wittso found his home in Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain. Wittso was a mentor to many in the ski world and shared his love of the sport by counseling countless skiers.

The Bill “Wittso” Witte Scholarship was established in 2015 to keep Wittso’s passion for making skiing fun and affordable for youth athletes. The rising costs of winter sports have a significant impact on an athlete’s ability to continue in the sport. This scholarship is awarded to an athlete who demonstrates Wittso’s level of dedication and passion to continue pursuing their alpine skiing career with NYSEF.

WE ENCOURAGE YOU to join our family in honoring Wittso’s legacy by supporting his scholarship fund in any amount. Your contribution has a direct impact on young skiers and helps them receive professional training, coaching and travel to special national and international competitions.

Please make checks payable to NYSEF and write “Wittso Fund” in the memo section or donate online at

THANK YOU for keeping Wittso’s dream alive.
