Donation to NYSEF
In 1973 only 24 athletes signed up for the NYSEF Alpine program at Whiteface Mt. Today NYSEF has grown into 5 disciplines and over 400 athletes, some of which have competed in Winter Olympic Games. There are over 60 full and part time coaches employed here and hundreds of volunteers that make this program possible. NYSEF is a non-profit organization that provides educational opportunities for children and young adults through athletic training in snow sports. NYSEF helps young people develop personal skills important to becoming confidant individuals by building athletic capability, sportsmanship, self-discipline, and self-esteem. With these skills, young athletes are better equipped to achieve academic excellence and to pursue college studies, professional training, or other personal goals. NYSEF believes that sport teaches work ethics, determination, and builds character. The NYSEF program gives young men and women the necessary tools to be successful in life. We start with children as young as 7 years and work with that athlete through age 18. They learn how to support one another and endeavor as a team. Athletes frequently attend college together or race at NCAA colleges against each other. Either way they acquire life-long friendships and support. Your support directly assists in the continuation of these programs. NYSEF is 501 C3 non-profit organization. Programs, training and equipment is made possible through private donation, enrollment fees, and sponsorship.
First of all THANK YOU! The success of NYSEF belongs to our donors. Without the vision of our donors and the on-going participation, from attending fundraising events, to volunteering time, to cash gifts, our donors have stayed the course and envisioned what NYSEF is today. They understand it’s not about how many athletes make the US SKI Team, but how many hundreds of kids get to spend their winters learning snowboarding, or ski racing or ski jumping with their friends. These athletes work hard and our donors know that. Whether you are watching a 10 year old girl’s face when she catches her first air off the ski jump, or you see a 17 year old athlete pack his bag for National Championships, you see how every dollar donated in some way has helped them get there. We will keep thanking your for you generosity and unscathed vision for the athletes and the success of NYSEF programs.
ANNUAL FUND
The NYSEF Annual Fund is the most critical piece to our operation and survival. Because of your support, we have been able to expand the capability of our staff by providing new technologies and resources. We are able to meet the needs of the athletes more efficiently. Every year the staff listens to the athletes, participates in on-going coach’s education, and shares advice with each other. Our goal is to be the most successful mentors and coaches for these athletes, we strive to do what is best for them in every situation. Whether it is building and renovating training centers, to purchasing high tech timing and video equipment, we are here for the athletes. his dedication shows in our athletes. NYSEF is home to some of the most hard working, respectful, successful and positive athletes that display a great sense of sportsmanship. We are so proud of them! None of the above would be possible without you, our supporters and donors. This is the essence of the Annual Fund.
